1. Roundtable exchange: exploring two-way cooperation

On 19 May 2026, the Chinese Business Association of Ireland welcomed in Dublin a trade delegation led by Liang Shiqiang, President of the Beijing Changping District People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. Yu Yongqiang, Executive Vice President of the Chamber, and member representatives attended the discussion, exchanging views on Ireland–China economic and trade cooperation, enterprises going global, industrial matchmaking and talent exchange, and reaching a number of cooperation agreements.

2. Shared development: the dividends of industry going global

During the discussion, President Liang introduced Changping District's industrial strengths, its sci-tech innovation achievements and its policies supporting enterprises going global. He noted that Changping continues to open further to the outside world and hopes to use this visit to build a bridge for two-way trade — focusing on cross-border logistics, the digital economy and biopharmaceuticals, deepening enterprise cooperation and helping local companies enter the European market.

Executive Vice President Yu Yongqiang welcomed the delegation and introduced Ireland's high-quality EU business environment, its industrial strengths and the current state of Chinese enterprises operating in Ireland. He highlighted the Chamber's core role: standing at the forefront of Ireland–China trade, building bridges between government and enterprise, pooling business resources, serving members' development and continuously advancing industrial collaboration and people-to-people friendship between the two regions.

Member enterprise E2G Logistics showcased its integrated cross-border supply-chain capabilities, underlining the professional strengths of Chamber members in supporting China–Europe cross-border trade and providing solid support for two-way trade cooperation between enterprises in both regions.

3. Win-win collaboration: building a long-term cooperation mechanism

At the close of the exchange, President Liang presented the Chamber with a Changping keepsake, expressing a shared vision of deeper cooperation and mutual success. Both sides agreed that the exchange had been pragmatic, efficient and meaningful, laying a solid foundation for deeper future cooperation. They will establish a regular communication mechanism, continue to deepen multi-dimensional matchmaking across industry, enterprise and talent, and drive Ireland–China trade cooperation to a higher level.

This exchange meaningfully deepened the friendly ties between Changping District and the Chinese Business Association of Ireland, broadened the Chamber's external cooperation channels and built a high-quality resource-matching platform for member enterprises. Going forward, the Chamber will continue to serve as a bridge for Ireland–China trade, integrating resources on both sides, deepening industrial cooperation and talent exchange, empowering enterprises to expand in both directions and helping Ireland–China practical cooperation grow steadily.
